I have a theory I'm slowly proving one product at a time: the three-star review is the only honest review ever written. Five stars is honeymoon. One star is usually a shipping complaint wearing a product review's clothes. But three stars? That's a person who used the thing, liked half of it, and sat down to tell you exactly which half. I read hundreds of them per product, and I read the full rating spread, not the shiny average — a 4.3 with a fat 1-star tail is a different machine than a clean 4.3, and the difference is usually where your money goes to die.

I don't do sponsored praise and I don't invent hands-on stories. What I bring is the research: thousands of owner ratings, the spec sheet read line by line, the price checked against what it usually sells for. If something's overpriced for what the numbers show, I'll say skip it, and I'll tell you what the better buy is.
