Samsung Chromebook Plus Review: A Compact Chrome OS 2-in-1
Worth it, with a careful fit check
Worth it or skip it?
Worth it if
- You want a small Chrome OS 2-in-1 for browser-based study, business, and entertainment.
- You can work within 4GB RAM and use Chrome/web apps.
Skip it if
- You require Windows, more than 4GB RAM, or a single larger internal drive.
Key facts
Installed and maximum RAMThe listed maximum is also 4GB, so memory is not an upgrade path.
Internal storageTreat the 64GB figure as the internal drive; the 128GB dock SSD and 32GB microSD are listed separately.
A conditional yes for Chrome OS buyers
Choose it for browser-based study, business, and entertainment when 4GB RAM is enough. Confirm the delivered operating system and accessory arrangement before buying; the listing contains an OS-family conflict and separates the storage components.
Buy on AmazonTwo shapes, one small screen
A student folds the 12.2-inch screen back in a library, switching from typed notes to a tablet-shaped reading setup.
The configuration sets the boundary
The 360° hinge and touchscreen give this Chrome OS laptop two working shapes, while the Intel Celeron 3965Y and 4GB LPDDR3 RAM define a basic configuration. The listed maximum is also 4GB, so memory is not an upgrade path.
It is a compact Chrome OS convertible, not a high-memory Windows laptop in a smaller coat.
Before you choose
Does it convert into a tablet?
Yes. The seller describes a 360° hinge and a 12.2-inch touchscreen for laptop-to-tablet conversion.
How much RAM is installed?
It has 4GB RAM, and the listed maximum is also 4GB.
Is the advertised 224GB one internal drive?
No conclusion is supported: the listing separately names 64GB eMMC, a 128GB docking-station SSD, and a 32GB microSD card/adapter.
