Is the Like-New Fire TV Stick 4K worth it?
A top pick in Electronics on Amazon (#4 when we checked, Oct 18, 2026)
Worth it if you want 4K streaming, Alexa voice search, and access to free and subscription-based TV from one compact device. The Like-New Fire TV Stick 4K also suits households with busy Wi-Fi networks and compatible 4K TVs.
Good to know: If your TV does not support 4K or you need a device with included content subscriptions, look for a simpler streamer and check the service requirements first.
A 4K streaming stick that keeps busy Wi-Fi moving
The Like-New Fire TV Stick 4K makes its clearest case through Wi-Fi 6 support. That standard is designed for homes where several devices share the router, and Amazon says this stick is optimized for smooth 4K streaming even when other devices are connected.
That matters because 4K video sends more data to the TV than lower-resolution streaming. A compatible Wi-Fi 6 setup gives the stick a current connection standard to work with, while the device handles 4K Ultra HD, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Dolby Atmos content. The result is a compact way to bring higher-resolution video and supported sound formats to a compatible setup.
The rest of the experience is about reducing the hunt for something to watch. Alexa can search by actor, plot, or memorable quote, and the remote includes preset app buttons plus TV power and volume controls. You can also reach free ad-supported content through Fire TV Channels, Prime Video, Tubi, and Pluto TV, while subscriptions may open services such as Netflix, Disney+, and Max. This is a streamer for a connected living room, not a replacement for paid services or compatible equipment.
You get one compact device covering 4K streaming, voice search, free and live TV access, app control, and compatible smart-home commands. The Like-New version is refurbished, tested, certified to look and work like new, and includes the same limited warranty as a new device, though packaging may be generic.
Great for
- 4K TV owners who want streaming in 4K Ultra HD
- Homes with several devices sharing a Wi-Fi 6 router
- Viewers who search by actor, plot, or quote
- Households mixing free channels with paid streaming apps
- People interested in Xbox cloud gaming through Game Pass
Maybe not for you if
- You mainly watch on a non-4K TV and want only basic streaming
- You want subscriptions or paid channels included with the device
- Your setup does not support the listed picture, sound, or Wi-Fi features
The Like-New Fire TV Stick 4K fits viewers who want a straightforward route to 4K streaming, Alexa search, free ad-supported channels, and major streaming apps. Wi-Fi 6 support is useful in a home where phones, computers, and other devices share the router. Its value is strongest with a compatible 4K TV and the services you already plan to watch. Add cloud gaming through Xbox Game Pass if that appeals, and this small stick covers more than basic video playback.
Amazon shoppers rate it 4.5 out of 5 across 1,110 ratings. That is their number, not ours.
