Real grass fails in that spot because water either pools there or drains too fast and takes the roots with it. LITA's roll skips that problem by never depending on soil at all. Under the pile is a rubber backing punched with drainage holes, so instead of roots managing water, gravity does it: rain hits the 1.38 inch blades, runs through the perforations, and clears the surface in minutes instead of sitting there breeding mud. That's why it dries fast enough to walk on again the same afternoon, dirt patch or paver, balcony or dog run, doesn't much matter what's underneath. The other piece worth noticing is the four tone blend in the yarn itself. A flat single green reads as carpet the moment you look twice; real lawns are never one color, they're a mix of yellowed patches, deeper shade, sun bleached tips. LITA blends four shades into the pile instead of dyeing one, which is a cheap trick on paper but it's the difference between a lawn that looks staged in photos and one that still looks like grass from the porch in October. None of that asks anything of you. No mowing schedule, no watering, no seed that might or might not take this year. The trade is that it's still synthetic fiber over rubber, not living turf, so it won't cool a yard the way real grass does or feed anything living underneath it.
