That's the whole reason a homeowner can consider this instead of a full-size rental. The tradeoff shows up in your hands. A hydraulic system responsive enough to grab and lift precisely is also a system where a light touch on the lever moves the arm further than you expect. That sensitivity isn't a flaw exactly, it's the cost of the same precision that makes the clamp useful, and it takes real dirt time before it stops feeling twitchy.
