Is the Massage Headrest for Bed worth it?
A top pick in Salon & Spa Equipment on Amazon (#8 when we checked, Oct 8, 2026)
Worth it if you want a more comfortable face-down setup for at-home back rubs and your mattress is 6 to 17 inches thick. The adjustable height, angle, armrest, washable cover, and fold-flat design make it useful without requiring a massage table.
Good to know: If you need a complete massage table or a headrest for a mattress outside the 6 to 17 inch range, look for equipment matched to that setup.
An adjustable bed headrest for more comfortable face-down support
The mechanism is buried under the glow, so let's dig it out. The Byokay Massage Headrest for Bed uses a metal bracket that slides under the mattress, then holds a face cradle bar, pillow, and armrest in place. That gives you a dedicated opening for your face instead of pressing your head sideways into the bed during a massage.
The useful design choice is the adjustable cradle. You can change the height from 6 to 17 inches and adjust the angle up to 180 degrees, using locking knobs to secure the position. Cause and effect are straightforward: the support can be matched to the mattress and your preferred face-down position, so the person receiving the massage has more room to settle comfortably.
The U-shaped pillow is breathable, and the listing says it helps reduce pressure on the eyes, cheeks, and forehead. The armrest gives your arms a place to rest rather than leaving them tucked awkwardly beside you. The removable cover can be machine-washed or hand-washed, while the frame can be wiped clean.
Setup is tool-free, and the frame folds to 3.35 inches thick for storage. That matters if you want a dedicated support for occasional home massages without keeping a full table in the room.
You get the headrest, face cradle bar, armrest, and metal bracket in one compact setup. It can replace the improvised face support often used for bed-based massages while folding away for storage.
Great for
- At-home back rubs on memory foam, hybrid, or innerspring mattresses
- People who want adjustable face-down support rather than a pillow-only setup
- Mobile massage sessions that need a foldable, portable headrest
- Small rooms where equipment must store under a bed or in a closet
Maybe not for you if
- You need a complete massage table instead of a bed-mounted headrest
- Your mattress is thinner than 6 inches or thicker than 17 inches
- You want a setup with no separate pieces to attach
The Byokay Massage Headrest for Bed is a sensible fit for at-home massages, relaxation, or mobile sessions when you already have a compatible mattress. Its adjustable height and angle help tailor the face-down position, while the U-shaped pillow and armrest add dedicated support. Tool-free setup and a 3.35-inch folded profile make it easier to bring out and put away than larger massage furniture. Choose it for focused face-down comfort on a bed, with the benefit of a more prepared massage setup.
Amazon shoppers rate it 4.5 out of 5 across 62 ratings. That is their number, not ours.
