Is the Mason Jar Vacuum Sealer Kit worth it?
A top pick in Small Appliances on Amazon (#5 when we checked, Nov 3, 2026)
Worth it if you store dry goods, leftovers, produce, or meal-prep portions in regular or wide-mouth Mason jars and want one-button air removal without hand pumping. The rechargeable Mason Genie also includes 10 labeled lids and an opener, so the kit is ready for an organized pantry routine.
Good to know: If you need to seal bags or containers beyond regular and wide-mouth Mason jars, look for a vacuum sealer designed for those formats.
A Mason Jar Vacuum Sealer for Fresher, Simpler Storage
The Mason Jar Vacuum Sealer Kit makes the daily job smaller: place a compatible lid on your jar, fit the adapter, and press one button. The electric device removes air from inside the jar and creates an air-tight seal, according to the listing. That means less hand pumping and a clearer handoff from cooking or shopping to storage.
The useful design choice is the adapter system. The Mason Genie works with regular-mouth and wide-mouth Mason jars, with a simple twist of the adapter. You can use standard jars already in your kitchen rather than building a storage system around special vessels. The effect is practical: one compact tool can serve pantry goods, leftovers, fresh produce, and meal-prep portions across the two common jar openings.
The kit also includes five regular-mouth and five wide-mouth chalkboard top lids. Write the contents on the lid, then use the included opener when it is time to break the seal. USB-C charging and battery power keep the device portable for pantry, refrigerator, or camping use. The sink is not the main story here. Your counter gets a small, focused tool that turns jar storage into a quick repeatable step.
You get the sealer, adapters, 10 reusable chalkboard top lids, an opener, and a charging cord in one kit. That gives you a ready-made way to organize and seal jars instead of gathering each piece separately.
Great for
- Home cooks storing leftovers or meal-prep portions in Mason jars
- Pantry organizers labeling dry goods in regular or wide-mouth jars
- Bulk shoppers who want an air-tight jar-storage step
- Campers who want a portable, rechargeable jar sealer
Maybe not for you if
- You mainly need to seal bags or non-jar containers
- Your storage collection does not use regular- or wide-mouth Mason jars
- You want a manual tool rather than an electric, one-button device
The Mason Jar Vacuum Sealer Kit is a strong fit for cooks who already use Mason jars for dry goods, produce, leftovers, or meal prep. One-button operation keeps the sealing step simple, while the regular-mouth and wide-mouth adapter setup works with standard jars. Ten chalkboard lids add useful organization, and USB-C charging makes the compact device easy to move around the home or take camping. If jars are your preferred storage format, this kit gives your routine a tidy, repeatable finish.
Amazon shoppers rate it 4.5 out of 5 across 322 ratings. That is their number, not ours.
