Is the Levoit NeoClassic 650S worth it?
A top pick in Smart Home on Amazon (#13 when we checked, Oct 30, 2026)
Worth it if you want app and voice control, a 6.2-liter top-fill tank, and quiet humidity management for a room up to 536 square feet. The NeoClassic 650S is a strong fit for bedrooms, nurseries, offices, and other larger spaces where automatic control matters.
Good to know: If you want every water-contact part to go in the dishwasher, look for a model whose tank and silencer cover are dishwasher-safe too.
A smart humidifier that removes daily guesswork
The 4pm question with a humidifier is simple: is the room still comfortable, or has the air become too damp? The Levoit NeoClassic 650S addresses that with Auto Mode, which uses its humidity sensor to adjust operation with stated ±5% sensor accuracy. That means you can set the desired comfort level instead of repeatedly checking the room and changing mist settings yourself.
The app is the other meaningful design choice. VeSync lets you control mist, lighting, and music settings through Smart Scene, while voice control is also listed. So the humidifier can fit into routines for sleep, work, meditation, or a nursery without requiring a trip across the room for every adjustment. Convenience that needs babysitting isn't much convenience, and this model gives you several ways to reduce those small daily steps.
The 6.2-liter top-fill tank supports up to 62 hours of runtime according to the listing, and the wide opening makes refilling more straightforward. Cleaning is designed around access: the detachable tray lets water-contact parts come apart, while that tray is dishwasher-safe on the top rack with mild detergent and no heated drying. The tank and silencer cover still need hand washing, so the maintenance is easier to reach, not maintenance-free.
You get a large tank, up to 62 hours of stated runtime, Auto Mode, app and voice control, a night light, and a cleaning design that exposes water-contact areas. That combination makes sense for frequent bedroom or large-room use where fewer refills and fewer manual adjustments matter.
Great for
- Bedrooms and nurseries where quiet 26dB operation and a blue light-safe night light fit the routine
- Large rooms up to the listed 536 square feet
- People who want VeSync app, Smart Scene, or voice control
- Users who prefer a top-fill tank with up to 62 hours of stated runtime
- Homes that value easier access to water-contact parts during cleaning
Maybe not for you if
- You want the tank and silencer cover to be dishwasher-safe
- You prefer a simple humidifier without app, scene, or voice features
- Your room needs a different coverage range than the listed 536 square feet
The Levoit NeoClassic 650S suits buyers who want more than a basic mist machine. Its 6.2-liter tank and stated 62-hour runtime support longer stretches between refills, while Auto Mode helps manage humidity without constant setting changes. App, scene, and voice controls add useful flexibility for bedrooms, nurseries, offices, and larger rooms. It is also built for easier access during cleaning, though the tank and silencer cover remain hand-wash only. Choose it when quiet, connected control and fewer daily interruptions are the point.
Amazon shoppers rate it 4.4 out of 5 across 45,381 ratings. That is their number, not ours.
