Is the Hover Shot Shooting Toy for Kids worth it?
A top pick in Sports & Outdoor Play on Amazon (#1 when we checked, Oct 3, 2026)
Worth it if you want an indoor foam-dart activity for a child ages 6-12 and can accept that the hoverballs may fall after a couple of minutes. The kit includes a target base, blaster, 10 hoverballs, and USB cable for solo or family play.
Good to know: If you need targets that stay suspended reliably or a toy with documented long-term durability, look for a different target game.
A floating-target blaster game for indoor play
The counter is where this toy earns its place, and also where expectations matter. The Hover Shot Shooting Toy uses a target base designed to float, bop, and move hoverballs so a child aims at something more active than a fixed target. That creates a clear shooting task for solo play or a family game project.
The listing includes the target base, a foam blaster, 10 hoverballs, and a USB power cable. The base can run from USB or four AA batteries, with the batteries purchased separately. That gives you a choice of power source for indoor play, depending on where the game is set up.
There is one practical limit to keep in view. Buyer feedback reports that the balls can stop staying airborne and fall after a couple of minutes, so the floating-target feature may not remain consistent during play. The listing also receives mixed feedback on durability and value. This is best understood as a ready-made foam-dart activity whose appeal comes from moving targets, not as a dependable long-term target system. The product is listed for one player, while the description also presents it as a family project.
You get the target base, foam blaster, 10 hoverballs, and USB cable in one kit, avoiding a separate target purchase for initial play. USB or four AA batteries provide power options, with batteries purchased separately.
Great for
- Children ages 6-12 who enjoy foam-dart games
- Gift buyers seeking an indoor birthday activity
- Kids who like solo aiming practice
- Families wanting a simple foam-blaster project
Maybe not for you if
- You need targets that remain suspended reliably throughout play
- You are prioritizing documented long-term durability
- You need a multiplayer format rather than the listed one-player setup
The Ninja Blast Hover Shot Shooting Toy suits a child ages 6-12 who enjoys foam blasters and wants an indoor aiming activity that can begin with the included base, blaster, and 10 hoverballs. It offers solo play and can become a family project. The key fit point is clear: buyer feedback reports that the balls may fall after a couple of minutes, alongside mixed durability feedback. Choose it for the moving-target idea, not guaranteed hovering. For the right expectations, it brings a quick aiming challenge indoors.
Amazon shoppers rate it 4.2 out of 5 across 2,403 ratings. That is their number, not ours.
