Is the DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More worth it?
A top pick in Remote & App Controlled Vehicles & Parts on Amazon (#9 when we checked, Oct 29, 2026)
Worth it if you want a compact camera drone for creative aerial footage, with 4K/60fps HDR video, true vertical filming, ActiveTrack 360° and three included batteries for longer outings.
Good to know: If you want a simple recreational drone with fewer filming features, a more basic model may suit your plans better.
A compact camera drone for flexible filming
The DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More makes its case with one clear design choice: a flexible gimbal paired with a 1-inch CMOS camera. The listing specifies 4K/60fps HDR video, 50MP stills and true vertical filming, while the gimbal offers 225° roll rotation. That gives you more ways to frame a scene from different angles without giving up the foldable, palm-sized format.
The gimbal matters when one outing calls for different kinds of footage. You can record landscape video, switch to vertical capture and adjust the angle as your subject or viewpoint changes. ActiveTrack 360° adds customizable tracking modes for moving subjects, including cycling, while the listing describes omnidirectional obstacle sensing with LiDAR and vision sensors.
The aircraft weighs 249 g and lists 42GB of internal storage. The Fly More package also includes the DJI RC 2, three Intelligent Flight Batteries, a two-way charging hub, ND8/32/128 filters, spare propellers, a shoulder bag, storage cover and USB-C cable. That makes the kit ready for filming without requiring you to gather these listed essentials separately.
The value is in the complete filming kit: drone, dedicated DJI RC 2, three batteries, charging hub, ND filters, spare propellers, storage cover and shoulder bag. You get the main flying and filming accessories together.
Great for
- Adults learning aerial filming
- Creators making true vertical video
- Cyclists and other moving-subject filmmakers
- Travelers wanting a foldable camera drone
- Buyers who want three included batteries
Maybe not for you if
- You mainly want simple recreational flying
- You prefer a starter drone with fewer camera features
- You need the DJI Fly app to be available through Google Play
The DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More suits adults who want a compact drone with serious filming options and approachable flight tools. Its 1-inch CMOS camera, 4K/60fps HDR video, true vertical capture and flexible gimbal support different creative projects, while ActiveTrack 360° and omnidirectional obstacle sensing add useful assistance. Three batteries and the charging hub make longer outings easier to organize. Choose it for camera-led flying and a complete kit, not for basic recreational use.
Amazon shoppers rate it 4.5 out of 5 across 866 ratings. That is their number, not ours.
