Is the BUSSGO RC Helicopter worth it?
A top pick in Remote & App Controlled Vehicles & Parts on Amazon (#6 when we checked, Oct 7, 2026)
Worth it if you want an indoor helicopter for an 8+ beginner, with simple controls, altitude hold, colorful lights, and demo mode adding extra play value. The included battery, charging cable, and remote make it ready for indoor flying.
Good to know: If you need a helicopter for outdoor flying or a more advanced multi-player setup, look for a model specifically designed and rated for those conditions.
An indoor RC helicopter built to make first flights easier
The BUSSGO RC Helicopter is aimed at the moment a child wants to fly, but does not yet know how to keep a small aircraft steady. Its upgraded gyro system is designed to hold altitude when the controls are released, so the helicopter can hover while the pilot works out the next move. That takes some pressure out of the first few flights.
The controls cover the basics clearly: ascend and descend, forward and backward movement, and left and right turns. A one-key take-off and landing button, trim control, and adjustable speed settings give beginners a simpler starting point while leaving room to build skill. The listing also includes a demo mode with auto-rotation and circle flight, so the helicopter can provide a little action even before the pilot is ready for every maneuver.
The daily play value comes from the lights too. The red helicopter has seven changing light colors, plus an extra light mode noted in the specifications. With one modular battery, the maker lists 15 to 17 minutes of flight time. A two-battery setup is listed at 30 to 34 minutes. The PVC body, landing gear, and alloy structure are designed to buffer common indoor bumps, which suits practice flights around the home.
You get the helicopter, remote, charging cable, and battery in the package, along with beginner-friendly flight aids and light effects. The listed flight range of 15 to 17 minutes per battery gives each session a clear play window before charging.
Great for
- Children aged 8+ learning basic helicopter controls
- Indoor playrooms with room for short practice flights
- Families who want lights and demo mode alongside flight controls
- Beginners who benefit from altitude hold and one-key take-off and landing
Maybe not for you if
- You need outdoor flying capability
- You want an advanced helicopter for experienced pilots
- You need a multi-player toy, as the listing specifies one player
The BUSSGO RC Helicopter is a good fit for an 8+ child who wants indoor flying without starting with a complicated control setup. Altitude hold, one-key take-off and landing, adjustable speed, and trim give beginners useful help, while demo mode and seven light colors keep the toy engaging between practice flights. Its PVC body, landing gear, and alloy structure are suited to the bumps that come with learning. Keep the play indoors, and it offers a cheerful way to build flying skills through repeat sessions.
Amazon shoppers rate it 4.2 out of 5 across 2,358 ratings. That is their number, not ours.
